Description
Line order is based on my QoC projections

I think we should try Zary on the Huberdeau line instead of just shoehorning Kuzmenko onto the top line with with Huberdeau and Sharangovich. I want to see more Coronato as well but have no issue with him being sent back down either for the time being.

Might also be worth bringing Rooney back up to see if we can get like a 7th for him if he plays decent enough

Curious what Calgary fans think of the two deals they just made? To me, I’d be pretty happy with both.

The Zadarov deal was for fair value.

The Lindholm deal is interesting. Kuzmenko is probably a negative contract at this point, but he has the ability to recover his value if you can overlook the fact he doesn’t play defense. I like the D prospect you got. He should be worth a 2nd round pick especially in this draft. Give me players who appear to have taken the next step over late second round picks in a weak draft.

Both these deals seem like they have gotten relative value. Itnis curious to why you might not be using retention spots to up the value, but I don’t see any reason to complain

I'm quite happy with the return. I've been saying I want either Brzustewics+1st, Lucius+1st, or Ritchie+1st for a little while now

I think sometimes we overrate draft assets. Give me a former 3rd rounder whose taken a step up vs a second round pick any day. I’m curious to see how Brz produces at the AHL level, but he was solid with Kitchener and I thought he was a viable second round pick in last years draft who dropped.

Good get for you guys.

If Kuzmenko turns his game around and we end up flipping him next year this could be an excellent deal. I don't mind if the Nucks win the cup, ill cheer for anyone over the Oilers though.

Also we drafted Adam Fox in the 3rd round a while back, and also got Andersson the last time we had a Canucks pick so I like our odds

I don’t think Adam Fox is the expected value of a 3rd round pick. Hes like the outlier of all outliers

Kuzmenko is likely a bad contract, but Calgary taking a salary like his is limited risk with upside. It’s not like you are going to be a FA designation and there is always a possibility of a turnaround. If Monahan turned it around, Kuzmenko can as well
