Playoffs Diff Idea What Do Isles Think

if they were to retain at least a mil i'd be interested in it, but i don't see that happening from their side and i don't think we'd want to pay what they ask for 3 years of retention. Without it though i don't think you're getting a legit 2C or bang for your buck for 5 mil.

Honestly, my only concern would be carrying the team during the regular season if MacK got hurt. But, in this case, I'd just play Mikko at 1C instead. JGP is a ROR lite, a Phil Danault lite. I think he'd be awesome in the playoffs in COL

I would take that deal for the Isles - I think there would be room for some retention going back to Colorado (personally I'd offer $500K so the cap charges cancel out for this year and next) and Meyers isn't really a necessary part of the deal. Pageau would likely be a better fit in Colarado than Johansen has been, but I would be happy to take him in to see if he bounces back in a different system and also be rid of the deal a year sooner than Pageau's if he doesn't.

I mean yeah, maybe, if there's nothing better going I guess, and if some retention could be wangled. But only after pretty much most other options are exhausted. Probably a better fit at least in a healthy Avs side.
