Description
The draft being decentralized is really dumb, because having the draft is one thing that is really fun about the NHL as compared to other leagues. For the last real draft I want the hawks to have another first round pick, but it needs to make sense. Hopefully the Murphy trade accomplishes that.

My draft strategy is pretty dependent on the way the lottery falls. I am currently penciling the hawks in for a top 3 pick, but that could change depending on lottery luck. My wishlist is Celebrini/Leshunov/Lindstrom in the middle of the round via Tampa I would try and grab a D, potentially Adam Jiricek, and near the end I of the round I would go for Tanner Howe.

Trading Murphy for Ceci here to open up an NHL roster spot next season. Ethan Del Maestro Kaiser Allan all are LD vying for the last LD slot with Korchinsky and Vlasic. If one of those players can prove they are better than Ceci in that RD spot while Rinzel develops would be huge.

Man, the Canucks would have to swallow hard to do that deal. I still don't think Vancouver's problem is with scoring, so I'm not sure if JG is the answer to their playoff success. They need shutdown defensemen. Knowing Patrick Allvin's love of former Penguins players though, I'd say that he would do this.

That's not the Giourx deal if it's a 1st and a prospect. Pens decline.

Flyers got a first and Tippett who at the time of the trade had already played nearly 100 games in the NHL.

So if Jake goes to Van it needs to be something like a 1st, Hoglander, Prospect

Yes, I know. The roster spot this trade frees up is the Top 4 RD spot… Ceci fits into Zaitsev’s spot. Maybe confusing how I worded it.
