Gotta think there’s no way DAL moves Stankoven for Guentzel

Good, because doubt Dubas would ever consider Stankoven for Guentzel straight up. The rumored package he wants is similar to what Giroux got. Which is a lot more than Stankoven alone.

Really? They basically got Tippett and a 1st. Tippett was 23 putting up .35p/g NHL, and .95 AHL.

Stankoven is 20 putting up 1.24 AHL in his first pro season. I feel like it isn’t very contentious to say Stankoven >>> Tippett. Sure they also got a late conditional first, but quality over quantity. If I’m Dallas I’d way rather offer a worse prospect and the 1st

Tippett was selected 10th overall and had no obvious flaws such as size like Stankoven. There are many players that can produce prolifically at the AHL level and then fail at the NHL. Especially undersized ones. I would prefer a lower valued prospect and 1st+ than Stankoven straight up.
