Canes might do something like this but it’s 100% depending on how other deals go/don’t go. I don’t think Patches is their first choice, and Patches has a lot to say on where he goes.

Why for the Kings trade a young RFA for an average goalie? He’s a sub 900 since Jan 1st

Leafs pass, would rather have Lily over Jensen and Robertson over dowd. Not saying the value is off I just think both players we are giving up have a higher ceiling than what we are acquiring.

They need a good 1b goalie and they fact he's above .900 on a horrible Capitals team speaks for itself. Also "average goalie" ? > 4th liner atm rfa

Owen Tippet was at the same spot as AK just a few years ago.

I don’t think the Kings would do this - they either find THE goalie or they just trade peanuts for a backup type. Lindgren is a (admitted good) backup, but he’s not a 1A/B type
