Anytime you give up the best player for a package you'll generally lose the trade. But if Petey forces VAN into that position in the offseason then they'll have to take the best offer.

This offer is a good starting point I think. Cozens established himself as a top 6 center last season (despite this year's struggles), plus Savoie and the 1st adds significant value. Samuelsson is pretty "meh" for his contract IMO.

I'd counter first by seeing if BUF would give up their 2024 1st instead of their 2025 (and they could add top 3 lotto protection on it). Then maybe ask for another lesser pick.

I was just going on the assumption it would be after the 2024 draft.
