Tough call. Holloway for Merkulov, Foegele and a 1st for Frederic is fair value but it seems like this is a trade that puts the Bruins at the disadvantage of having to resign both guys this offseason which eats into their big pool of cap without really improving the team. But maybe.

You’d been better off going for Jake.

2nd/Broberg for Jake maybe. We can talk retention also

Why doesn't anyone know on this site that when it's a players final year of his contract and he's already played half the season with his previous team, retention is already in play, and yes I didn't put it in for Foegs but I'll admit that was my mistake and can easily be fixed, player was already paid half his salary for that year and will not be paid a full final year of his contract, lol

Frederic in not an upgrade on Foegele, and Merkulov isn't an upgrade on Holloway. What is the 1st for?

Two roster players for one. That makes your bottom-6 much weaker. Dumb move from Edmonton's perspective.
