Boston isn’t trading Sway. They are discussing the extension now

100% agree but if extension talks go poorly is this a fair price in the offseason?

I just don’t see it going down this route at all. In terms of value, I don’t believe Daws and a third round pick covers the value difference in terms of production. I like Mercer, but probably don’t view him in the same light as Devils fans

Absolutely understandable.

Obviously boston wouldn't trade Sway for picks, but how many 1sts of value would you want for him.

For example I value Mercer at 2 1sts+2nd+3rd

This is kind of like when people ask me would I trade Pasta or McAvoy. There are players on your team that you just don’t screw with. I will never get what I would ask.

I’d offer Swayman and Poitras for Hischer and you would say no.
