Edmonton might trade you Campbell and DesHarnais for Nedeljkovic if you were interested. Otherwise, the Oilers can just buy Campbell out in the summer.

Carter would refuse to waive his NMC.

I don't think so. Ned would be their 3rd best goalie, and Desharnais is playing top-4 right now. Such a move would certainly make their roster worse for the stretch run and playoffs.
