Toffoli wants the Killorn contract. This is why Calgary traded him to begin with and now why New Jersey has traded him. Someone will give him a long term deal with a good cap hit, it just probably won't be a contender. But you can't be a bottom feeder and expect to get him on a cheap short term deal

Better off for SJ to continue a long drawn out scorched Earth rebuild. With all of the RS for multiple years on the books I’d say they will not start getting better for at least 3 years so be patient.

I don't think he'll retire since he'll lose a lot of money that way but yea it really does look like he's done. He'll try giving it shots for the remainder of his contract but he'll probably just end up on LTIR. He's a tough guy though, he may surprise us.
