Aren't you going to hurt you're top players having them be your main penalty killers wouldn't it make more sense to bring in some veteran pk'ers so your best players aren't playing 22-24 minutes a night over a regular season.

Trading away the one key free agent signing you made a year ago is a great way to ensure nobody wants to sign with you in the future. Especially just gladly giving him away for nothing. Yikes.

This is easily one of the strangest things I’ve seen someone take issue with on this website. You’re telling me moving Connor Clifton - a sheltered, replaceable player with poor underlying metrics signed for too much money & term - is going to sway free agents’ decision to sign with Buffalo? Seek help.

OK, how many times has a player signed a several year deal (more than 2) with someone and been traded away one year into that contract? Your organization made a commitment to that player, and trading them away Shortly into the deal just reflects a lack of commitment. Why would anyone want to make a commitment to your team when you’re not making any commitment to them? Besides, I think the Sabres value Connor Clifton more than you do so I don’t think they have any plans of trading him away.
