Vegas being interested in Matheson makes sense if they don't re-sign Hanifin. But the return should be far better than N.Roy (even though I'd be happy if MTL acquired him).

If cap space is an issue for VGK, I could see an Evans for N.Roy swap as a possibility.

Matheson + Evans for N.Roy + Brisson + VGK 2024 1st?

whatever you say.... it's not like a 53pts Dman who's currently 10th in the NHL in scoring for defensemen wouldn't be worth a 1st + solid prospect, right? silly me...

It’s not that he isn’t. But it’s also Roy who plays up and down the lineup on an insanely valuable contract, plus we have 3 of those guys in Petro, Hanifin and Theo. It really doesn’t matter tho as this is hypothetical if we don’t resign Hanifin
