I can't see CAR doing that. I understand the financial cost associated with a buyout, but the cap hit is very reasonable. I think CAR will just keep him and play him.

no chance. at worst canes give him away for FC. the buyout is too low to give serious consideration to giving up an asset to move him.

I agree with you at the end of the day. My only question would be how ownership would view it. That's a $10M loss in real dollars. I think they keep him around at least 1 more year, no? OR do you just buy him out because it's $4.8M next year anyway?

No thanks on that KK deal - even w/ the 1st attached. The 6 years remaining on that contract are just too much term to take on.
