Isles move on from Lee but keep half his ticket by dealing him to the always open for business Golden Knights. In return they get Cataford, a decent looking prospect with a bit of a runway and a delayed 2nd.

The Wings import a younger (and cheaper) vet winger to replace Perron whom they can re-sign to help the kids into the post season. They give up a pair of prospects that lie outside of their Top Five and a 1st to get him at a discount plus a 4th.

Isles move on from Nelson but hold onto a third of his deal who can play both in the middle and on the left side to get younger once more. In return they grab a pair of players who could be ready to go sometime in the next 12 months and a likely middle round 1st. A 4th is also added to the mix.

Nashville grabs an extremely versatile winger (both sides, multiple roles) with grit at half price who Trotz knows well from his time in New York. He's a perfect Swiss army knife for this kind of team is cheap and costs them only a pair of staggered mid-rounders.

The third vet forward to go, Palmeiri is re-united with Trotz in Nashville. The Isles again pick up part of the tab but get a 3rd and a 4th for their troubles.

The Oil get a #1 LHD in their prime to pair with Bouchard so Ekholm can move to the right and play with Nurse, leaving Kulak and Ceci as the third pair. It costs them a 1st, a 2nd, a pair of prospects who need a reboot elsewhere. But they have Pelech for four years after this one.

The Isles open up a spot for Romanov on the top pair by dealing Pelech. A bit younger than the other's he does net them a pair of high picks and, if they can develop them possibly a pair of real contributors down the line. It's not like the Oil has an envious track record there.
