No, owner is cheap and the retention is too long. Also the Huberdeau contract is keeping the Flames above the floor and he's played well since the new year

You'd have to retain so much to make him movable I can't see Calgary doing it

I don't necessarily, just curious. He would fit well on the Islanders on a 7x7 deal or so, but I doubt it happens

$7MM for a guy that has 27 goals combined in the two seasons since he signed that contract? And we'd be getting his age 31 through 37 seasons? And the contract is all bonus money so he can't be bought out? I wouldn't trade for him at 50% retained without at least an unprotected first-rounder coming with him.
