Colorado moving on from Kuemper still makes no sense to me considering what they paid for him

Could see this happening if the Capitals retained half of Darcy's Cap, and the Avs do not win the cup this year with Georgiev.

They had hard choices to make in that off season. If they had known Landy was going to miss the next 2 years I’m sure they would have done things differently, but they decided to give the money to Landeskog, Nichushkin, Lehkonen and Manson and let Kadri and Kuemper walk. Not going to lie I thought they would bring Kuemper back the minute they gave Nichushkin his deal, at the time I thought he would go for a closer to Rust deal, that ship sailed.
