why is this even an idea lmao. Anderson does nothing, and we have so many RWs. There is zero reason for the Islanders to do this, Lee has incredible analytics and was the unluckiest player in the NHL this season.

No. Anderson has more years, only saves $1.5M, and isn't that good. The pick swap isn't worth it for NYI.

Without retention, Anderson is untradeable. For anything. Well, ok for Marc Vlasic 1 v 1 maybe but that's it. Which defeats the purpose of trading him in the first place.

There is only 3 options. Keep Anderson and try to revive his game enough to make a team bite on a trade next year or trade him with like 50% retention now for like a 3rd/4th rounder at best or Buyout.

The only realistic option is the first one.
