I honestly can’t see any of those five proposed UFA signings actually happening.

I agree w/ @Snowhawk18. None of those UFA deals get done. Those players just aren't the right targets.

They wouldn't want to come to Chi or the Hawks wouldn't go after them?

Montour is a good defender, would give more time for the young RHD to come along and give overlap for Murphy.

Guentzel would love the 50mil payday, and provide a huge boost to the wing.

OEL gives some more stability on D, buys some more time and provides over lap to both sides.

Drouin is a boost from what we have had in the middle / bottom 6.

Toews well I said it up top, it's a proper retirement tour, and a full year to show the young centers how to take a faceoff. Least likely I believe, unless he is 100% ready to play.

Guentzel will be 30 at the start of next season, at this point in his career I’m sure he wants to play for a competitor and there will be plenty willing to give him his big payday.

Montour very likely gets more than the $5m you propose from Florida, a competitor in a tax free state. The Hawks would have to significantly overpay to get him to come to Chicago.

Toews is done and Hawks management have made it very clear they are done with the past. When it comes to Toews and Kane Hawks fans need to move on.

Drouin has finally found a home in Colorado with his buddy MacKinnon, hard to believe he will give that up that situation after battling his mental health issues for so long.

OEL is an OLDer hockey player with a significant injury history and plays a position of depth in the Hawks organization, no need to waste financial assets on him.
