I would want at least one of Guenther, Maccelli, or Durzi back for Marner. Crouse and Ingram are good players don't get me wrong, but remember you are trading away an elite playmaking forward. It's okay to ask for talented youth who have a high ceiling.

You're right but I feel like in any deal Toronto makes involving Marner they need players who can impact a cup winning roster right now. I think getting Crouse and Ingram is a super cost effective way of doing so. Just don't see how the value can work out if the Leafs asked for Guenther.

there's nothing in this deal that makes the leafs better. Crouse is a massive downgrade in every way except hitzzz and ingram isnt even good. The first is valuable sure but it doesnt make the leafs more competitive any time soon. The roster has all the same holes and a big new one

But theres also 5+ million dollars extra to play with. Using that can improve the team no?
