Why would we trade a top 3 pick who shows every sign of justifying that lofty selection for a speculative future that can't be a top 3 pick?!?!?

That would be idiotic even if McTavish were on the table, which he isn't. Substitute the 2025 first for the fifth overall pick this June and we would still say No. (By the way, Mesar is an excellent prospect, but Stuble is a LhD so he doesn't contribute anything of value for us even though he is a good prospect -- Jackson LaCombe is every bit as good a prospect and Olen Zellweger is better.)
