Although the value in that trade is almost there, I'm quite sure Doughty would fetch a bigger deal if he becomes an UFA.

that's a weak offer for a player not to try free agency. doughty really doesn't want to leave california. might have better success with karlsson.

Although not as good as Doughty or Karrlsson, I think the Devs should try to pickup guys like Rasmus Ristolanen or Shea Theodore.
They are not in the same tier as the first two but they are also not going to need to give up all those assets.

Both DD and EK want to be paid more than PK, so there's that too!
