don't believe Tavares will sign anywhere unless he gets 10.5M... Guess that depends on taxes in the specific areas. Also since this a 18/19 team, the Cap should be going up to 77-78M

Tavares should get more. In some ways, San Jose might be a fit for next year. But some veterans might be leaving the year after, and I just wonder if Tavares want to go through a rebuild. Playing in the Metro division, Tavares can virtually take the train to some away rinks. I wonder how appealing the travel in a Pacific division team is.

How many other teams could afford him and yea they could offer him more n be in just as good a position. Weather beat out the travel

The salary cap could increase as high as $82 million that's a net increase of $7 million over the current one, No way is Tavares signing that low probably in the neighborhood of $12 million no less then $11.5 million more then likely. He wont be playing in San Jose for that little.

I actually think we could sign Tavares for more, but have a hard time seeing us landing him in FA.

I have a hard time seeing him not resign with the Islanders also.
