Description
So, I was told that my Evander Kane involving Patrick Maroon was not realistic. Here you go. The Sharks don't have a ton of left wingers and they have a 65 % chance of making the playoffs as of now. So, he could be an interesting pickup for the sharks. To make the trade more even, Buffalo gets the Sharks best prospect and a 2019 1st round pick (not 2018. because San Jose wouldn't have a single pick in the first three rounds of the draft, and they get a conditionnal fourth round pick based on resigning.

Make the 1st rounder this year, and the conditional 4th a conditional 3rd in 2019 and this trade makes sense.

The guy is a cancer in the locker room. Has been on multiple teams. However, I don't like the trade, but could see it happening.

I'd prefer Hoffman as a Sharks fan.

That narrative is the most overplayed narrative in hockey. He's fine and scores a million ES goals.

True. I would too. But Hoffman has a no-trade clause and we don't know where he might want to play in.
