That's way too much for Dumba. At best he's the 4th best defenseman on the team and hasn't been able to string together more than ~30 quality games so far in his career. He was abysmal last year and pretty rough the first 25 or so games this year. If he wants that kind of money, he needs to play a full season without being a liability.

Scandella was the liability of the Scandella/Dumba pair last year. Dumba55 has been showing up less and less. He still has an off-game now and again, but not much more than anyone else on the team.

15g/40p isn't out of the question for Dumba this year, it would put him top-30 in D-man scoring. He's a RD (they get paid more). I'd like Dumba around the $5m mark, but $6m isn't out of the question.

Combined I think Dumba/Zucker will get $11m in contracts this offseason.

I live your values on each player pretty close to what they should get. I'm a big dumba fan I dunno why there's so many fans that can't stand the guy. there's alot more players on the wild that should get **** on before him. dumba is a 2-3 dman. I put him ahead of brodin. dumba played well with suter and should stay up with suter spurg can drop with brodin strengthens the complete D core over having the 2 best d on the team together.

Dumba isn't close to Brodin, Spurgeon, or Suter. Yes, Dumba can play in the top pair with Suter, but that's because Suter is so good. I'd prefer Suter/Dumba and Brodin/Spurgeon pairs. Brodin/Spurgeon haven't ever really played together for more than a random game here and there, so they would have to learn to read off of each other. Considering where the Wild are in the standings now isn't the time to experiment.

Dumba's an even number d-man (so is Spurgeon). He's not going to carry a d-pair, but he's a fine compliment to a Suter/Brodin. Players get paid big money to fill that position. Dumba has gotten better in the d-zone, he's an average middle pair d-man in that respect now.

Dumba is better than all of you think...and more importantly, he's going to be much, much better than any of you think...mark my words!

If I had to pick (right now) between Brodin or Dumba...I would take Dumba 100 times out of 100 times! And for the long haul, I would take Dumba over Spurgeon too.
