Yeah, this is what I've been talking about. Ritchie is soooo bad that he has to be moved, but then you stick him in as the main piece for Hoffman. If Ritchie is sooo bad and bad players have low value, why do you come to the conclusion that he can be used as the main piece for a perennial 30-30 guy? Doesn't make any sense whatsoever, nor does sticking Hoffman, a natural LW you've just paid a tonne for, on the RW. If Hoffman did come to ANA, you can bet your house he takes that 3rd line LW spot alongside with Henrique and the Rakell - Getzlaf - Kase line stay together.
Meh, I don't hate the idea of bringing in Hoffman. I just think there are bigger issues to address i.e. Bieksa, Bieksa and... errrrr... Bieksa. I also don't think this package is even close to getting Hoffman. Probably something similar to what Ryan got i.e. 1st + promising roster player + high risk former first round pick. So something like 1st + Kase + Ritchie/Jones. I've said this already, but I wouldn't move Kase right now and I would avoid moving our 1st as much as is humanly possible. Ritchie or Jones I could give or take depending on the return. I'm not giving them away for free or anything, but I'm not vehemently against them being moved for the right piece.
P.S. Moving Josh Mahura = SMH. Kids a stud and we hit the jackpot drafting him so late.
