You'll be screwed for cap. You have Neal, Karlsson, Domi, Mcnabb, Theodore and Turris wanting more money, Marchessault whos gonna get 5 million plus, and only Grabovski, Sbisa, Stoner and Reaves coming off the books. Even if the cap goes up by around 3 million, You won't be able to pay all of them.

Ottawa has said Ryan was a discount on Karlsson, not really wanting to retain. That will screw up your cap even more.

It being past the trade deadline this year, start again, with the year set to next year, and the salary cap set to 80M. Then try to figure out what to pay Miller and Theodore, McNabb is sisgned. Put Clarkson on LTIR so he doesn't count against the salary cap.

Decide whether or not you want Neal. That plays into whether or not you want to trade Smith. Consider hiring Grabovski back cheaply, I guess?

Or if this is nostalgia for a trade deadline that never was, maybe title it as such, so commenters know how to respond.
