Wouldn't trade Nurse for Karlsson straight up, never mind losing Drai as well.
EK is otherworldly good, but only 1 injury laden guy.
Maybe Barrie for Pulijarvi&Kleff?

Ha. Haha. Did you just say you wouldn't trade Nurse for Karlsson straight up??? And call Karlsson injury laden?? I want what you're smoking.

Also, the deal is good but probably a little too much coming from EDM. I'd take that and run if I'm Ottawa. But I do think the only way Karl gets to EDM is if Drai is involved.

These sign and trades are so useless. Why should Oilers agree to it? And certainly why should Karlsson.
So here's the scenario. Ottawa allows Oilers to negotiate with Karlsson, of course Karlsson says to the contract (now that he knows he can get the same contract later(, and what happens next, the Sens allow the Karlsson to negotiate with 29 teams. Of course in that time, the Sens have to negotiate the "trade" for Karlsson with all these other trades.

I’d go Drai for Karlsson straight up or Drai plus a little more. I like how u overpayed to get Ottawa to retain Ryan, but they said they want Ryan’s full contract gone because it’s 4 years. This definitely is a steal for Ottawa, so take out the 1st and take Ryan’s FULL contract, then trade Sekera for a 6th or 7th or Future Considerations.

I agree. Lose the pick and retain full salary.

Also, I think Thornton would want to go elsewhere that Edmonton if he doesn't resign in San Jose.
