Description
Komarov's hurt, so I think we should give Martin a chance. He hasn't played in a while, and he's hungry. On top of that, if he can play his game, he can definitely get the crowd into it, which will help boost the Leafs. I think Johnsson and Matthews, bith fast skaters, can have chemistry. jvr-bozak-marner worked well before, let's bring it back.

Komarov was brutal and clearly already playing hurt. Plekanec has been awful, so has Bozak.

Johnsson definitely needs to be on one of the top 2 lines, as does Kapanen and Marleau.

Rielly and Hainsey have been flat out useless. They're embarrassing to watch in their own end.

I agree with you, as far as Kapanen is concerned, but I just didn't see a place for him... maybe Hyman-Marleau-Kapanen or JVR-Marleau-Kapanen? I think Rielly needs to settle in, I saw worse in Hainsey and Zaitsev last game.

It might be a while before Rielly is ok in his own end, maybe never. Hainsey has been a time bomb for weeks.

I'd put Hyman in the middle of the 3rd line.

That is a valid point, but centres aren't normally expected to forecheck as much as wingers, and one of Hyman's biggest strengths is forechecking...

That strength can translate into great backchecking which is far more important. Bozak hasn't taken a hard stride all year and aside from being in the right place at the right time occasionally, he brings nothing to the table.
If Hyman took his spot he would take care of his own end and still contribute about the same on the other side of the puck. He's already out there taking draws on the PK which neutralizes the argument that Bozak is a face off specialist.
