Description
Sedin's retirement actually puts Vancouver in a phenomenal place - a blank canvas where they don't really have any bad contracts (eh, Loui Eriksson maybe). So do they rebuild from the ground up? Or make a splash?? *Not a Canucks fan here, just curious what people think*

I like the Cole and Kane addition, but I don't think Tavares is gonna wanna leave New York just to go to Vancouver.

Vancouver is going to have some serious cap space to play with next year, but also two major rolls to fill... Should be a fun summer for fans.

Of course having Tavares would be amazing, but if they're going to throw just one big contract at somebody I'm more convinced that it should be Carlson. Cole just adds to the glut of 2nd and 3rd pairing D the Canucks already have, while Carlson is a legit top PP QB. Plus almost all of the Canucks' prospect talent is at forward and quite a few will be ready to make the leap this year or next. I know Carlson choosing VAN isn't terribly likely, but he's still the guy I'd throw money at.

Huttons conditioning has ruined his game. If he doesnt work hard this summer then hes going to be kicked out. And rule #1 ... Always sign Stecher.. I know your not a Nucks fan but this is a name to remember, if you watch him, he's really good defensively and can chip in offensively too.

.....anyway... I agree with what Benning said...which was thats he hopes to sign "veteran talent to help move the youth along." hopefully he signs good FAs though, it would be nice if he did.

Good comments boys, And I'll have to remember Stecher. Obviously Tavares is a long shot, but it's pretty wild to see how much space they have.
