Description
Dundon has been on record stating that the team needs to get "tougher".

ROR brings an abrasive and responsible game to compliment the skills of Skinner, while filling their biggest organizational need. Losing Hanifin hurts, but the teams depth on the left side of the defense makes it easier to swallow. Rask can potentially fill a hole in the Sabres lineup, especially if he can bounce back - while helping to offset salary.

The Canes also add a potential vezina candidate in Holtby, while adding an rugged defender in Orpik (whose salary is 4.5M in 18/19) which they have appeared to miss since the departure of Ron Hainsey. Kruger goes to Washington to fill their 4C role with Beagle likely moving on. The Canes also save about 600K.

I doubt it. He’s a Vezina-winning Goaltender that can’t play against Pittsburgh, and I don’t think Carolina should get him because if they made playoffs, they’d have to face Pittsburgh in the 1st 2 rounds. If anything, Holtz is worth more, but I wouldn’t bring him into another Metro team.

For reals, tho, this is good, other than my Holtby rant. Maybe u can go for one of the goalies in another division like Hutton.

Don't think Carolina trades Hanifin for ROR. I know they need a 1st c (although ROR is a 2c) but if you're going to trade Hanifin get someone better. Seth Jones fetched Johansen who was younger and already had a 30 goal season and a 70 point season under his belt. Aim higher than ROR
