Maybe a year early for this Tampa trade to be feasible, but they have some major pieces to re-sign in 2019. Kucherov, Point, Gourde, Mcdonagh, and then Vasilevsky and Sergachev the year after. Let me know what you guys think.

Why would Tampa move Point? The guy just put up 66pts playing against other teams top lines in shutdown minutes.
You're certainly giving up a sizable package that compares in value, but Tampa is 100% in a "win now" mode, not looking to downgrade a forward for picks.
Also, Tampa may not even have that pick (conditional to New York in the McDonagh trade).

I don’t think they’d trade him this year, I clarified that above that it’s more plausible for next year when Tampa has to re-sign some big pieces.
Ahhh didn’t realize that pick is potentially included in the Mcdonagh trade..
