I have the solution. Trade Myers to Detroit for Big E #52 in your programs number 1 in your hearts. Or take Dekeyser, but please for the love of god take one or both of those plugs, we'll even throw in Dan Cleary to sweeten the deal. I think Holland is about to sign him for a 3yr/10mill deal with a full NTC

So you trade Dano and Petan for something, (or lose both to waivers).

The issue is that I think you still need to sign Helle to another one year show me deals for $3.5 (same as Gibson and Vasilevsky) . We need the cap space to make sure there aren't bonus overages hitting us the next year when we need to extend Connor, Laine, Wheeler and (in my scenario) Helle.

If Trouba signs up long term you could also trade Myers+ for a 1st in this year's draft to get another RHD in the pipeline to replace Buff down the road.

Jets have Sami Niku, who as a rookie just won the AHL's top defenseman award. He's our 2LHD of the future. Or Samberg. Or maybe Stanley. Anyone looks good playing with Buff so we're good.

O good point. Though those guys might take 3-4 years to really hit that stride. But they do look promising. Jets are stacked.
