This would be perfect for the Ducks. Can't see MTL doing it though.

Why do this? I get wanting to get rid of Perry's contract, but you push Montour down to the bottom pair when he's shown that he's able to be a top 4 guy, plus you add that cap hit for 5 extra seasons (8 years left), plus you give up our best D prospect for it.

Also, none of this addresses the fact that that he had season ending surgery to repair a tendon in his foot. Who knows how well he bounces back from that.

He'll be a band aid for the rest of his career. Poile got rid of him at the best possible time!! Wahoo!!!!

Having Montour play with Pettersson would boost his style of play. Larsson really didnt have a great season last year coming back from his injuries, however, I think Mahura is going to eclipse him in the coming seasons. But you have to give to get back.

Weber addresses a large need for the Ducks.... THE POWER PLAY. His shot alone makes teams play off him.

Karlssons injury was worse and he came back fine (just took him a little bit to get going).

Yeah, if he's healthy he fixes a minor problem for the next couple of years and then they're still stuck with the cap hit for the next EIGHT YEARS.
