Description
I'm a Jets fan so don't criticize the line combos....i'm more interested in Vegas fans thoughts on the Trouba trade.

We love him here in Wpg but rumours are that he isn't keen on signing long-term. Vegas is loaded with young skill up front but lacks a true #1 RHD.

* I considered Trouba + Stanley (our 2016 1st round LHD prospect) instead of Petan and 2nd.

Yeah well he has players not on LTIR and has too many players called up so who cares? He'll be under the cap after they are done.

I think in a couple years Theodore will be as good as Trouba. Nick Suzuki might have the most sentimental value to Vegas of any piece in this trade, so that tanks their interest. This team has made three first round picks. Ever.
So they're not trading one with a recent first round pick defenseman with five points in the playoffs who is owed a mid priced contract this summer, to get a recent first round pick defenseman with three points in the playoffs who is owed a high priced contract this summer.

That would be ridiculously stupid. Thank you for asking.
