Description
Not saying this has a chance of happening....just creating hypothetical options to maximize value for Trouba if he doesn't want to be here long term. Looking for teams that have a young D with upside and/or would be looking to shake up the roster.

Buffalo needs a culture change and would likely drool at the prospect of a Dahlin-Trouba top pair. Little <O Reilley so we'd need to sweeten the pot (and we'd need Little to not include Buffalo on NT list). Like I said....highly unlikely but still fun to look at what our roster would look like.

in 2019 offseason we'd need to move Perrault, let Mason and Chiarot walk, and likely bridge Connor, give Copp a short term deal, to have enough cash to sign Wheeler and Laine to big deals.

Yea, buffalo isnt retaining unless the secondary pieces are better

Maybe send myers to buffalo instead and send a 3rd/4th round pick back to even it up.. will also open cap room for jets

the sabres trade doesn't solve the cap issue with the jets. risto's term makes him more attractive and ROR age and play makes him a better value. just don't see what's in for the sabres.
if trouba is a valuable member of the jets, you can keep him and if he walks as ufa, why worry. ufas come and go all the time.
myers for gardiner seems fair
