Nice! I think these trades and (signings) ultimately make the Habs a better team considering that they also add whoever they select at 3rd Overall. Maybe Galchenyuk out as trade bait if Zadina is slotted in. Or no Kerfoot trade to begin with.

That Kings trade would be a major win for the habs IMO. I would send Scherbak with Patch and the 2nd rd pick for that package. Cancel that kerfoot trade, Kempe can take the 2nd C spot and Zadina that 1st LW.

Anything close to that would guarantee Bergevin's job. Got to love that 3rd line... would be great defensively, an offensive threat in a couple of games and for basically the next decade....

LA says no. One year of Patch isn't worth a top 4 D and 20 year old top 6 F. Doubt the hawks take Shaw's full contract back.

I'm not seeing the motivation for Colorado to trade away Kerfoot; he had a very nice debut. Certainly not for yet another one of those bottom-3 defensemen they have a ton of and another prospect and picks.
