Well seeing how the last time we asked about him they asked for Pasta i don’t think it works. They don’t want a dman as the centerpiece of the trade.

I think the biggest difference between now and then is that Hanifin has lost value, due to lack of development this season, and Krug has gained value. I also believe that Carolina is looking for someone to help their PP and if there is player to do it it would be Krug. I agree that Krug alone won't be enough and they would want a highly touted offensive player/prospect and Bjork fits the bill and seems to be the odd man out in Boston right now. Will it be enough, who knows. I think it has the potential to be a strong framework for a trade though.

He was an All-star this year. They are willing to move Hanifin because they have a glut of D and lack of scoring up front. They get a stud FW or they hold him.

I don't get the sentiment that he hasn't developed. He went up in pretty much every category, including pretty big jumps in his advanced stats. He is 21 and plays on a pretty bad team - I have to agree they want a #1 center. The Bruins did offer their 3 1st rounders for him who if the bruins had drafted as expected would have been Barzal, Connor and Zboril/someone else. Carolina probably would have been pretty happy with that, Bruins too, although now debrusk playing somewhere else.

On a side note - Does anybody know how/why Carlo fell in that draft? Every scouting report I find has him as a mid to late 1st rounder. Most of them had him ranked higher than the three they drafted...
