I think the Leafs would prefer to keep Garret Sparks then make that deal. Curtis McElhinney seems like the goalie that will get dealt, considering Sparks is now on a 1-way deal and would need to clear waivers. What I was going to say about your subject line is that the Oilers need to find a speedster that has hands and some finish. Off the top of my head, I think Dylan Larkin would be an excellent fit for McDavid's wing. A prospect like Mike McLeod, might also be an interesting fit because as far as his junior play goes, he's fast and has hands. The Leafs Kapanen would also be ideal, but I don't think the Leafs trade him this offseason. Finally, I'd look to Carolina, who have a couple speedsters over there, though I am not sure how easy it would be to acquire Teräväinen and I am pretty sure their GM said Aho was untouchable. Maybe Lindholm might be an answer?

I like the canes deal, but on the other trade, i think the other teams are getting ripped-off

Carolina says no to that trade, Pittsburgh just shuts the door and I don’t know about the Toronto one because it’s basically just back up players being swapped.

i really think its a no brainer for carolina... talbot upgrade on darling, Nugent fits the team and is a 1 for 1 for faulk and you move down 8 slots in a good draft. Fills holes immediately

the pens one is bad but i wanted to move sekera contract, i think he fits in PITT i was trying to find a way to bring salary back

the toronto trade is important as EDM sees potential in sparks as a starter in the show
