Not saying the trades aren't fair, but wondering if the the rebuilding Devils and the ever building Isles would trade so guys who have just two years left then UFA.
Thinking Connor Carrick is a excellent bet to make the Leafs D next year. And Greening, gee has looked good (like Winnick) in his few games as a Leaf.
In my past posts, I have said that the Leafs likely would not be interested signing Stamkos. Too much too soon. Anyway I have heard from a reliable source that the deal "is done", Stamkos is going to be a Leaf next season.

If the Leafs do sign Stamkos might have trade some "centre money", Kadri, Bozak or Holland...maybe two of the three.

Thinking on the Isles deal is they two years left of Tavares, solid blueline in place, and Okposo could be leaving. JVR would slide in nicely on Tavares' wing. Not sure if the Devils would want Bozak but it's hardly a punitive price and they're trading away picks that aren't there.

Forgot about Carrick. I would have no issues with him making the team next year. Same goes for Greening. They also can send him to the Marlies if somebody beats him out for a spot. I think a lot of spots will be up for grabs with a lot of players in the mix. Training camp will be interesting.
