Carolina gets hosed big time. AA is 30 and Forsberg couldn't stop a beach ball last season.

No way Carolina accepts that trade. All due respect, Forsberg played like an AHL backup last season. An aging Anisimov doesn't help either. Need to throw in a higher pick(s) plus some grade A prospects to even come close to that Faulk trade. I don't think we need Caggiula as much as we need third and fourth line centers (supposing AA does get traded). Hayden has some promise, but his ceiling is still very low.

Quite honestly, I truly believe the Hawks need a totally new direction/identity. They need a new head coach to lead them in this regard. They are holding onto their past success and will never be THAT team again. They are bound to contracts that have NMC and are limited in who they can trade and subsequently acquire. But they can (should) move on from Quenneville. He has been a winning coach throughout his career but all things have ends, and it is incumbent upper management recognizes this sooner rather than later. That may be difficult for most to grasp yet, as we have already witnessed, Chicago is floundering and will continue in that trend. I would prefer changing both the HC and the GM within the next year. Again, this is only my very outside opinion but zero playoff rounds won in 3 seasons is more than enough time to merit moving on.
