TBL 2019 first is conditional going to NYR not sure you can use it in a trade, condition of winning cup would have insanely high chance if EK ends up in TB

Unless there's a condition that if the Lightning win the cup, since the 1st would go to NYR, they could give the Sens a 2nd. But there's no way Ottawa would do that. They wouldn't even take this deal here. Point, or at least Sergachev, would need to be involved.

A lot of people say Foote has more potential than Sergachev. I'm not sure if there's really any truth to that, but if Yzerman can convince Dorion of that, it is quite plausible that Foote is involved and not Sergachev. If the Senators are requiring Point, then the trade doesn't happen, simple as that. Point has the potential to be among the League's best centers soon; he already put up a 30+ goal season, and seems to be improving. He's also by far the Lightning's best defensive forward, and was a huge part of shutting down Hall and giving Bergeron "the Bergeron treatment" to help the Lightning reach the Conference Finals. The Lightning's offense is fine without Karlsson, who seems mostly offense-oriented, and they're not going to sacrifice their best defensive players for him. Sergachev more fits the mold of an offensive defenseman, which is why including him in the package makes sense. That being said, I think the value of one year of Karlsson has been significantly overstated here. You don't give away your top long-term prospects for a year-long rental, even if that rental happens to be a two-time Norris champion. If Karlsson wants Tampa as much as the media says he does, they can get him for free in a year anyway.

To be honest I don't think that is enough to get Karlsson. Koekkoek is not yet a bonafide NHL player and may never be a top 4 dman. The return would more realistically be Point or JT Miller, in place of Koekkoek, or Yanni Gourde or Alex Killorn in addition to the rest. Also, if either Gourde or Killorn in addition get this deal done, TB is stupid not to pull the trigger.
