While I did come up with the initial trade I mentioned that after I thought about it more I don't think you'd get Bjorkstrand in this. You'll probably have to include more for CBJ to accept even with Bjorkstrand out of the equation. I'll think of a different idea and post it later, but Panarin coming to MN and re-signing here has the same chance as Crosby coming to MN: nil.

Jets decline....Trouba is better as well as we don't need another LD...also, we will not trade Trouba within the division

Fair enough. Be interesting to see what would happen if the offer was made. They are essentially the same player. Trouba is more physical. Jets are weaker on left side at the NHL level. And management knows he is leaving first chance he gets. I think they could get a better return if the put him on the market, and should push Perreault on to the recieving team, but it is fair value.

I have a feeling that Perreault will be traded to MTL somewhere between the end of the 2019 playoffs and July 1st. They doesn't necessarly need him, but the Jets have to move him and I think he'd fit perfectly with the Habs, seeing how versatile he is. Can play C as well as both wings, can play on a 2nd scoring line or on a checking role. That contract is very manageable for what he brings to a team. PLUS he's francophone, so I have a feeling that's where he ends up after the Jets 2019 Stanley Cup run (Yes, I said it!)
