Trading the Leafs goalies depth for meaningless picks. What happens if Andersen ever gets injured, Sparks and and ECHLer? And highly unlikely these two players are ever claimed on waivers.

Mcelhinney was the best back up in the league last year and Pickard is a young, fringe starter. they are getting claimed might as well get some assets. If freddy gets injured sparks was the best goalie in the AHL last season and has starting goalie potential and he would be backed up by kaskisuo, an average AHL goalie.

When you have a chance, look up the past AHL goalies of the year and count how many today are top end NHL starters. That number is very low...

Correct me if I'm wrong but Toronto needs to keep Horton off the LTIR for the bonuses of Marner & Matthews to be paid out this years cap and not next right? It's so confusing but that is what I have taken from some of the stuff I've read.

Also I agree. Trading the goaltending depth is a bad idea. I get that we MIGHT lose these guys for nothing but that is a risk they'll have to take.

I did, all the u25 drafted goalies who win the best AHL goalie award in the last 15 seasons are, Garrett Sparks, Matt Murray, Jake Allen, Jonathan Bernier, Cory Schneider, and Jason Labarbera. I'm not saying Sparks will be the best goalie in the league, but at the very least he should be a fringe starter who should be able to take a lot of the load off of freddy
