Another »Cap hell« incoming with signing all those young swedish D's next year, Dermott…..and Rielly on the top of that

No Cap space to afford : Pietrangelo, Schultz, Pysyk, Forbot, Brodie, Josi, Barrie, Vatanen, Faulk for D and optionally Schenn, Granlund, Hall, Galchenyuk

SEASON PROJECTION : maybe we push it thru First round of Playoffs

So at the end of the day «building form within«still seems long way from Stanley…and i think that guy is still what this is all about

Pretty good three seasons of roster. But your comment "cap hell" isn't a approximate. Having too many good players isn't a problem. You can always trade them for value. and uses that cap to fill needs.
I kinda disagree with those Dmen. I know it's projections but Sandin and Durzi are a lot closer to be NHLers than Neilsen, and Lindgren. Why trade for Montour, can't find a UFA Dman even at 5m?

      Could be Manson also....

tbh i went thru all 30 teams, only one worth mentioning that will be under 30 when UFA, trying to avoid Detroit fate, those others are listed in "cant afford" part

but ye...maybe you are right and i set his price bit high...tho with latest trends for contracts and 2 year gap to get there....who knows

tho still missing one additional D from my pov to even start dreaming about Conference Finals, so trading Kadri and Zaitsev out ( or at least Kadri ) for additional top 50 LD ( which was lost with Gardiner ) would be my guess to bring those kind of dreams closer ( both on the verge of their contracts )
