Description
In this ideal world, Dallas contends for the cup and opts not to trade Seguin, confident that he is going to re-sign in the summer. Seguin likes the look of Detroits future and likes the contract, so signs. Detroit makes another nice splash in FA with Eberle, a RH winger they desperately need.

The Wings trade Gus, Green, Luke and Daley at the deadline, picking up a bunch of 2nd rounders for the upcoming draft.

The big move is made to get EK. They surrender this year's 1st rounder, which will almost definitely be a top 3 pick, next years 1st rounder, which will probably be much later in the 1st round, AA and Deke. 2 1sts seems like a lot, but Wings get a franchise Dman, and rack up about 4 2nd rounders in the process. Seguin is just as good as Hughes Cozens or whoever else they may have drafted top 1-3 overall.

Definitely a little young on D, but Cholo and Hronek look like legit prospects and the rest are good skaters with promising futures.

Neither EK or Seguin accept those deals. They will both get >10M on the open market

He overestimated on the cap at 85 but he does have about $15M in cap space. No way Lindström or McIsaac are ready for the NHL by 19-20. Also, Svechnikov on the first line. ?
