I don’t like it, because it just locks up more cap. I think Studnicka or even Kuhlman would be a better option if you consider cap and production.

Also nhl.discussion isn’t a rumor page, it’s a news page, they don’t just pull things out of their ass but I’m not sure where the Hall news came from</div></div>
Oh no, I was saying that Debrusk is worth more than a first. Kids a stud and bruins have no business making that trade.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cory</b></div><div>Wrong? You guys think putting a swear word in between guys names makes them sound better? I cannot stay in a conversation where guys try and tell me that Klefbom is a top pairing dman and that anything about that trade is close to fair. What would be the point? I gave the stats on Laine, he is most certainly a top 5 sniper, yet I still have people tell me the stats are wrong. I feel like I am talking to 12 year olds behind a key board.</div></div>
The way you talk is infuriating, if anything you're the 12 year old. But that's besides the point. Klefbom has had great defensive production, such as, but not limited to: an xG +/- of 31.38, a rel CF% of 3.62, a rel GF% of 3.77 all while being on EDM, one of the worst teams defensively in the league. Now, I challenge you to find stats that show that Laine is anything but a one dimensional liability who's only asset is his shot.

Next Year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>lol want to know what's a worse way to judge a player? freaking corsi. Hey I agree with you for the most part, points are a lousy way to judge a player. Except when you're talking about a certain type of player. The type of player that brings literally nothing to the table other than offensive production....like Eberle. He brings nothing to the table. He is flat out garbage.
Can we agree on a couple things? First, heinen is a much better defensive hockey player than Eberle. That's a no brainer, so i assume we agree on that. Second, Eberle isn't going to find himself any significant powerplay time in Boston. Maybe second unit, maybe on the ice for 20% of bostons powerplay time sound about right? Want to know who had better offensive production 5 on 5? Ya, it was Heinen. If I was sweeney I honestly don't think I'd give that walking turnover without a pulse in clutch moments a PTO.</div></div>
I just don't like how here we're judging him after a down year playing with Brock Nelson and Anthony Beauvillier as linemates as opposed to, idk, David Krejci and Jake Debrusk who he'd have if he comes here. I think he'd be a great signing and we'd be able to cash in on the down year, and he wouldn't cost a lot. I do agree Heinen had a better year but it's a terrible take to say Eberle is a bad player or anything close to it.

Next Year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>Even with Heinen's sophomore slump this year, where he basically didn't have a point for two months, he was only three points behind Eberle. Eberle's entire game is offensive production, and he stinks at it. Heinen is so much better in the neutral zone and defensive zone than Eberle. Are we supposed to forget all this because for a week this postseason he actually showed a pulse and got a few points? No. He stinks. The previous playoff run he had he went 0-2-2 in 13 games and didn't see his own blue line. He's trash. He's somehow going to get 5 million from a desperate GM, but he isn't worth 1.5. He stinks.</div></div>
Points are an awful way to judge player value. I'll admit, Eberle 100% had a down year but that in no way means he's bad. Even so, he still had a 1.13 5v5 p1/60 and a 1.41 p1/60 in general. He also had a positive rel corsi for and rel xGF. This goes to show that although it wasn't showing up on the score sheet as much, he was still producing and driving play well. Any good GM shouldn't hesitate to give him 5 million or even 6. He's great.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Cory</b></div><div>You are all over this thread. In one post you put that Laine has the potential to be a 60+ goal scorer with McDavid. In another you say he is not a top 5 sniper and is a gamble. But trading him for a subpar 2nd probably 3rd pairing dman with no upswing is fair? Then you say Edmonton isn't giving up Draisaitl for Laine because that wouldn't help them. Please tell me how Klefbom, Benson and a 5th round pick that probably doesn't reach the NHL for Laine ( A potential 60+ goal score - your words) makes the Jets better?</div></div>
Since when is Oscar mf'ing Klefbom a third pairing dman? He's a borderline 1LD on an amazing contract who will be good for years. Get your head out of your arse.
