Well holy ****!!! The guy who hasn’t missed a game in 10 years just decides to up and retire just so you can resign gardiner?

You can’t put him on ltir and you can’t ignore his cap hit. If (in your delusional fantasy land) marleau decides to retire you still need to trade him to a team to take his cap hit it’s a 35+ contract.
