That’s a lot of money to pay for a guy who’s a liability at even strength. Bouwmeester is an okay penalty killer but nothing else. His calling card early in his career was his fantastic skating stride and puck moving ability, but his injuries have piled up and he can’t even skate well anymore.

factor in the higher tax bracket in MTL its more like 2.8m

i always over pay up to 1m on this site just because when i dont i get 1/5 stars for underpaying .
with overpaying i usually just say 'Quebecs tax laws are fucked'' and people dont 1/5 star me :P
(same reason i over payed Reilly 500K)

plus he's a liability in the west but in the east on MTL he'd have to be better then Benn ,Schlemko and Alzner

I like it. Maybe a little bit less for Bouwmeester, but other than that looks good. I’d maybe move Petry in the off-season to give Juulsen more ice time, and give Brook a chance to make the NHL. Very realistic.

little much for Bouwmeester, but I get the reasoning why. Much better signing him for free then trading for him! squinting with tongue out

I like the roster, but I believe Suzuki will start on RW. Domi seems to have found a spot as a solid #2 C, He seems to be able to find more space up the middle a lot better than along the boards, which is the opposite for Drouin. Suzuki on paper does feel like he would be a fit with them.

and same as @EthanK24, Brook should be getting a chance next season. move Petry, Juulsen will be good on the 2nd pairing.

Jay is good for our PP and if moving out Petry is going to happen you'll need the PP points he puts up .
we can then flip JB next year at the Trade Deadline if someone steps up .

i agree with moving Petry but Fleury is the one knocking on the NHL's door right now .
Brook is still a bit from turning Pro but Fleury is already there and thriving in Laval as top RD.

i wouldnt mind

Reilly-Weber
Mete-Juulsen
Bouwmeester-Fleury
Koberstein

Brook we dont need to rush and if we pace it right he'll be coming up to replace weber in 2021/2022 when weber's contract becomes 12m over 5 years remaining and he'll be easy to move .
