Description
EDM -- Imagine having McJesus and having to rebuild...I definitely think the oilers need to change the way they do things. Though giving up Jesse may be too reactionary and I don't see it, the value to start fresh is there in the trade.

OTT- They desperately need another RH fwd besides Coyle. Going to pay a price for Stone but I think it's worth it. They could have had local boy Boeser in the draft but chose Eriksson Ek instead...RH sniper please.

BOS -- Not sure entirely what the value is here but Staal at 3.5mil as a rental is pretty good for a playoff bound and Stanley Cup contending team. Heinen/Kuraly seem like the obvious choices to return to MIN, draft picks can even it out and I may be off on those.

VAN -- You need depth to go win a cup. Trading Staal seems to be counter intuitive if you're going to make this move for depth, however short/long term both moves make sense to make.

If I'm Minnesota, I don't do the Edmonton, Boston and Sens trade. Those teams need to add a bit

Massive overpayment in the EDM trade. Dumba alone gets you Draisaitl (value-wise)

I do like Stone (other than his skating) and if he came with an extension I wouldn't mind trading for him, but I think we're giving up too much here. I think if Sens trade him they're signaling a commitment to a full rebuild, so getting a guy like Nino from us doesn't make a whole lot of sense (Nino is very close to Stone in age, I think he's like 100 days younger or something). They'd probably want our 1st this year (which we probably shouldn't give up given that we've traded away 3 in the past 6 drafts if you count Tuch to Vegas) and one of our good forward prospects (not sure if Ek gets it done, might have to be Greenway which is not a good move for us). Basically I like the player, but the trade fit based on what OTT might want isn't there.

Not sure why we'd trade Staal unless we are out of the playoff races and it's a deadline move. If we did move him it would likely be Staal alone for a 1st and a 3rd/prospect and I could definitely see that happening if we fall off a cliff for some reason. I don't see why we'd move Hammond, he's allowing Kahkonen to develop in the AHL.

Vancouver trade seems like a bunch of lateral moves to me. Brown has been fine and he's very cheap. I don't think it's worth getting the other Granlund on the Wild.
