given his start to the season, it'll take more than that. Deal as stands is quantity over quality.If WPG wants hayes it includes one of Niku, Vesalainen or Trouba.
You may say overpayment, I will say deadline deal for a two way center on a 65 point pace.
Hanzal was on a 50 point pace when he was traded and look at that haul. Plus Hayes has outperformed him in seasons prior to the trade as well, and has literally taken over games this year for the rangers

I personally think Winnipeg should go for Namestnikov instead of Hayes. Hayes will cost a 1st rounder and a high end prospect. Namestnikov could probably be acquired for a 2nd and a decent prospect. Plus he's proved he can produce when he plays with high end talent. He was excellent when he was playing between Stamkos and Kucherov, I think he can do the same with Laine and Ehlers. His style suits those two wingers very well in my opinion. Not to mention he's on contract for 2 years instead of 1. I think he's being underutilized in NY and could bounce back in the right situation
